Mocha morning papers

I was asked by a friend to come up with some ideas to use the Mocha Morning papers from Stampin Up. I think the design needs to be kept fairly simple as the papers are so gorgeous - you could just make a card using only the papers! Anyway I embossed in gold using the branch from 'Hopeful Thoughts' (Stampin Up) and the sentiment from a retired set from SU - 'Cheer and Wishes'. I will be making a few more using this DSP so keep watching!

Forever Friends

My sis-in-law came on Friday for our usual crafting session. I wanted to do something fresh and springlike and was pleased with the result. SIL made a card using the same design but made it into a birthday card for her sister. check her version out at http://kraftsbykatemartin.blogspot.co.uk/

Diane's Birthday Card

It was my good friend Diane's birthday on Friday and I have been wanting to do something with this retired papers and matching acetate from Stampin Up. Hope you like what I have done with it - Diane certainly did.

The Last of the Thank you's (for now)

I did this card at my isi-in-laws last Friday so you may have seen it on her blog http://kraftsbykatemartin.blogspot.com/. It is using a technique called 'mother of pearl' for the background. Use stampin up frost white paint and dab it onto gloss card using scrunched up cling film. Then sponge over this with colour from an ink pad as much or as little as you like and you will get a pearly effect. Stamp over with your chosen design et voila - the finished card. I fashioned the Mother's Day card below on this original one.

Mothers Day

I had a card class this afternoon and was asked if we could make Mothers Day Cards, - here are 3 versions - all variations on a theme. The background was made using the faux Mother of pearl technique. For more info check oyut my sis-in-laws blog at http://kraftsbykatemartin.blogspot.com/

We also had time to make another card which my ladies liked just as much if not more. In fact I had a few orders for the embssing folder which is the focal point of the card.
We did not add a greeting as this can be used for any occasion.

Here is another colour combo of the same card using retired DSP from Stampin Up.
I nearly gave up on publishing this. It has taken 3 attempts - all from nearly finished. BLOGGER KEPT CRASHING ON ME!!!!! AAAAARRRRGGGGG

More Thank you's

This one again is for Australia but I will have to make a box for it (don't want to squash the handmade flowers!)

Another Thank you

Here is another thank you card made with Stampin Up products. You may not know but I am a Stampin Up demonstrator so most of the cards I make are using their products. Hello again!

Well I am home now from my holidays. We had a lovely time in Brisbane with our Son and his girlfriend, spending Mon to Fri at the Gold Coast in Surfers paradise and the weekends at Brisbane. We did this for 2 weeks and spent the rest of the time in Brisbane. The weather was very kind to us, reaching 30 deg some days. We expected quite a lot of rain but only got 3 days out of 3 and a half weeks so I think that is pretty good!.

So - back to the crafting. I did say that I would post 2 to 3 times a week so here is my first of the new posts. Let's see how long can last before lapse!

I craft on a regular basis with my sister-in-law, so some of my cards may be very similar to hers. If you want to check out her blog follow this link. http://kraftsbykatemartin.blogspot.com/
I have been doing a few thank you cards to send to Australia as we met a lot of lovely people who made us very welcome. Here is the first made using Stampin Up products apart from the kangaroo punch wich I bought in Australia
