I was tidying my craft room last night and threw these scraps of designer paper in the bin - for 2 seconds!!  I thought to myslf I must be able to make a card out of these and we all know crafters can't throw ANYTHING away!  So, half an hour later voila!  Any good?

PLATINUM WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Well I thought that I had better get a move on and do the last of my Platinum Anniversary cards.  I put a window with an acetate backing and bowed the front a little to give it some depth so I had to make a box to put it in.  I think my friend will like this and hope you do too.  Please leave a comment.  Thanks

Well the NZ rellies have now gone to further thier travels in the UK.  We had a love;ly time with them and it was great to catch up on how things are in NZ.  They live in Christchurch where they have had so many earthquakes recently and they brought a DVD to show us the extent of the damage there.  It is absolutely devastating.  But true to all major disasters people are picking themselves up and getting on with life!

I haven't had time to craft yet so here is a card that I made for a lady who had a workshop for me.  She bought the 'pennant parade' stamp set and her mum bought the 'pennant builder' punch so between them they have the where with all to make some super cards.  I thought I would give them a head start with this idea.

Hve to make my last Platinum Wedding Anniversary over the week end so will post that when complete.

I was asked to do 3 Platinum Wedding Anniversary cards all for the same person so thinking of how to make them totally different was a bit of a challenge as I wanted to stick to the monochrome theme.  Anyway here are 2 of them and I need to make one more by next week.  We have relatives due to arrive anytime now from New Zealand and they are staying with us until Wednesday so crafting will have to go on hold until after they have gone so check back in a few days and see how the last card turns out!

After my ladies had done the 2 easier cards (posted yesterday) I gave them a bit more of a challenge with this one.  Unfortunately the picture does not do the card justice.  The background was heat  embossed with clear powder and using a roller, then 'vintage vogue' stamp set was used for the flowers and 'sincere salutations' was used for the sentiment.  All done on a monochrome theme.  We then went on to decorate the inside of the card too.  Hope you like it.

I have a class of ladies who are in their 'twighlight' years and sometimes get a bit frustrated with stamping so I thought I would go easy on them this week and give them kanban images already to mount.  The bottom one is flat so that it can go through the post normal price (which make quite a difference now the postage has gone up!), but I do love the first one with the flower and ribbon - what do you think?

For the month of April there has been an offer from SU of a free paper pack if you spend £45 or more.  I chose 'Nursery Nest' papers and although you may thibk they are just for childrens cards they are far from it!  Here are 2 examples I have made using the same paper and design bur different colours and theme!
